Tucson real estate : Sept. 2011 foreclosure notices decline from Aug.

Tucson Real Estate : After spiking in Aug. 2011, the number of foreclosure notices issued in Pima County, declined in Sept. 2011. The notices infor property owners inform property owners that thier loan is in default and an auction has been scheduled.

There were 797 trustee-sale notices filed in Sept 2011; down 13% from Aug. 2011 & down 27% from Sept. 2010. In total, fewer foreclosure notices have been filed in 2011, compared to 2010. From Jan-Sept 2011, 7,227 foreclosure notices have been filed in 2011. During the same time period last year, 8,939 notices were filed.
